Seller's Notes: Ward Bennett for Brickel & Associates American Mid-Century Landmark Steam Bent Ash and Cane Armchairs This is a timeless wood and woven cane chair, designed by the New York architect and designer Ward Bennett, in collaboration with Brickel Associates. Bennett’s pieces are iconic examples of the important mid-century modern era of American design, and their clean, classic forms resound in today’s marketplace (for example, in 2004 they were reintroduced by Geiger for Design Within Reach). Bennett’s work can be found in the Museum of Modern Art and the Cooper-Hewitt Museum. Another model of the Landmark chair with lower arms. One is slightly glossy, one is slightly matte. Both have the red Ward Bennett label, only one has the paper Conde Nast certificate. Available individually, or at a discount as a pair.
