Seller's Notes:This coffee table was designed by renowned American furniture designer Milo Baughman (1923-2003) for Thayer Coggin of High Point, NC. Their association began in 1953 and lasted until Baughman’s death. This coffee table is a testament to timeless Mid Century Modern design sophistication. Its sleek mirror pedestal base elegantly supports a thick, square top meticulously fashioned with an exquisite taupe color lacquer finish. The mirrored base gives the substantial top the appearance of floating. The thick, smooth top floating above the base gives the look of modern sculpture. Baughman's signature clean lines and precise silhouette lend an air of modernity and versatility, making this piece an ideal choice for those who appreciate authentic mid-century modern design charm. The table is 30 1/4 inches square and the base is exactly half that, at 15 1/8 inches square. The height is 20 3/16. The condition is very good with only a few very small nicks in the lacquer on one top edge. There is light surface scratch consistent with age and use and similar scuffing to the edge that meets the floor. For a piece that is 65 years old or more, it is in remarkable condition!
