Seller's Notes:We have had a pied a terre in NYC for four years. We’ve had guests sleep over a total of maybe 12 days, and family stayed here when their apt was being painted. So that’s another week. I’m rigid about food in the living room, and sticky hands stay in the dining area. I have never had to remove a spot from a spill, and recently I noticed a little dingy area, and warm water on microfiber, and it was gone in 2 seconds. Probably from a pants cuff, soiled in the subway. Per West Elm’s listing, it’s performance fabric. We’re a no shoes house, too, so never have shoes been on the sofa. We purchased it from a neighbor in our first apartment, after her daughter had stayed with her for part of a quarter in college, til she found an apartment. We’ve tested it and found it a decent guest bed, and of course, always used a fresh mattress pad! No stains on the jacquard of the mattress.

Hand-built frame with hand-finished upholstery. Concealed support legs for a streamlined profile (removable). Loose seat, end and back cushions. Gel mattress features a 2-layer construction of high-density foam and gel-infused memory foam. It’s designed to contour to the body and wick away body heat. Seat firmness: Soft. On a scale from 1 to 5 (5 being firmest), we rate it a 2. Mattress ticking has an ultra-soft, breathable knit. Mattress runs slightly shorter than standard mattress sizing. To avoid damaging the frame, do not fold the mattress into the sofa with sheets or blankets on it. Due to tapered arms, the front of the sofa is slightly wider than the back. Assembled in the USA.
