Single piece with curved U-shape. Minor wear and tear from use, mostly isolated to the area most used. The side/corner closest to our couch has some scratches and cloudiness from usage - difficult to see due to the nature of the transparent material, but please see photos with a dark background. The scratches are small (an inch or less) and only noticeable on close inspection or by touch. The cloudiness is most apparent in certain light and undetectable in most lighting/angles. 24lb and table thickness is .59". Weight capacity 300lb. I fit an ottoman underneath and can easily slide or move the table for flexibility in the space. Pet-free and smoke-free home. I have loved this coffee table, but it won't fit in the new apartment.
