Seller's Notes:This reproduction slant front writing desk has all the outstanding qualities of an antique original. Made of select mahogany solids and veneers the bookcase has a lovely hand carved swan neck, arched pediment. There are two wood shelves in the upper section of the bookcase. The desk section has four curved drawers resting over top claw feet. The interior of the desk is fitted with a bank of serpentine shaped drawers each of which is dovetailed and has slotted compartments. This Mahogany Secretary Desk is a work of art in itself. There is a watermark stain on the interior of the desk table and a scratch or two which indicates this piece was used as a writing desk. Otherwise it is in good condition with minor wear and tear. It has been in the "family" for decades. We are now needing to downsize and no longer have space for this item.
