Seller's Notes:This majestic dark brown China cabinet, entertainment center was found at a specialty shop in Phipps Plaza, Atlanta, GA in late 1970s. Exact wood identification is unknown. The top portion with glass doors lifts off. Bottom section is separate piece with wood doors. Both sections lock using the same key. The two pieces are extremely stable due to heavy nature of wood. Moving & shipping them successfully is done in two parts: top + bottom. The owner customed the unit: 1. Wiring lights attached to recessed top to long wire for use in standard outlet, 2. Having custom made heavy duty glass shelves as option to wood ones, so light would shine through. This piece has survived several moves with only minor scratches at 4 corners of bottom unit where top was not lifted or set straight up/down. Not visible when units are in place. Damask fabric lines original shelves as well as interior of top & bottom units.
