Seller's Notes:A pair of vintage Nichols & Stone Windsor chairs made for Cedar Crest College in Allentown, Pennsylvania. The chairs feature a classic black painted finish accented with narrow gold rings. Each curved back rail displays the Cedar Crest College seal in gold, while five turned spindles create an open Windsor-style back. Shaped wood seats rest on turned and tapered legs joined by stretchers, giving the chairs the sturdy, traditional profile for which Nichols & Stone became known. Manufacturer markings remain underneath, including the impressed Nichols & Stone name and original yellow factory label. A handwritten notation on the label appears to include a 1962 date. The collegiate history makes these especially interesting beyond their use as everyday seating. They would work beautifully in a home office, library, study, dining space, or as a pair of occasional chairs—and would have particular appeal for a Cedar Crest College graduate or collector.
