Vintage Danish Teak Credenza

Product details

Seller's Notes:Beautiful and substantial vintage mid-century Danish modern teak credenza/sideboard with two sliding doors. One long integral vertical routed pull on each door. Interior divided into three sections (two on the left, one on the right) with two felt-lined drawers and multiple adjustable shelves (solid brass shelf pins). Sits on top of a slim wood base (removable for transport) with four legs; legs have chamfered edges. Front edges of cabinet box are gently beveled. Piece has a slight bow downward on the front and a couple of corners have opened (with evidence of past repairs made), but overall in great, vintage condition. One door shows signs of a repair as well, towards the top edge (see photo). A small hole was cut into the back at some point (probably to accommodate stereo equipment). A few scratches as appropriate for its age. Bottom of drawers are stamped "MADE IN DENMARK" and although no other labels or marks are present it appears to be a piece designed/manufactured by Aksel Kjersgaard. Overall, a fantastic vintage piece that would work great as a buffet/sideboard in a dining room, or as a credenza in a living room or office. I purchased this from a vintage furniture dealer in 2016.
