Seller's Notes:Vintage Large Bust of Moses Holding the Ten Commandments - Signed Arnold Bergier - 1967 This is a wonderful vintage Bergier for Austin Productions ceramic or cast plaster bust of Moses holding The Tablets of The Ten Commandments, circa 1967. This sculpture features a carved stone or carved concrete look, which gives it a unique, aged appearance. It is marked Bergier 67 (for artist Arnold Henry Bergier 1914-2007) on the back. Bergier was a noted sculptor, collagist, and caricaturist; his sculptures include portraits from life of prominent persons, works for synagogues and churches. It measures 15 1/2' tall, 12" wide and 5" deep and is very substantive weighing approximatley 12-3/4 lbs. The bust is in very good vintage condition with minor nicks and a few hairline cracks (small crack on bridge of nose) but these slight imperfections both blend in very nicely with the composition of the piece as well as do not appear to impact the structural integrity of the piece.
