Seller's Notes:This 1960s beauty (I also have the matching sofa available for purchase) is a custom built French Provincial style armchair in the mid-century Hollywood Regency and French Revival style, made by the Deutsche Bros. Chicago, with its original gorgeous glam ivory and gold brocade and hand carved bird and floral wood frame. It is unusually well maintained for its age as the original owners had it covered in protective plastic since the 1960s, so there are no tears or stains, just some expected light discoloration consistent with age and there is a small stable repair (pictured) to the carved wood on the front left arm, which doesn’t affect structure or use or overall vibe or look. These details are minor relative to the chair’s remarkable preservation and don’t detract from its look or integrity. Perfect as a statement armchair or for your wedding, as a romantic one of a kind piece of history to take photos and lounge in!
