Seller's Notes:Thayer Coggin chrome base sofa in the manner of Florence Knoll with button tufted back and inside arms upholstered in Atlantic blue velvet with hunter grosgrain trim. Vintage in very good condition. Selling due to remodelling. This beauty is in the same condition as when I acquired it in 2015 from a boutique shop in New York City for 10,216 (incl. taxes). Designer: Florence Knoll, 1954. Consistent with all of Knoll's designs, this sofa has a spare, angular profile that reflects the objective perfectionism of modern design in the 1950s and 1960s. This sofa is the perfect highlight for any living room, small or large. It sits three adults very comfortably, yet thanks to its compact build it's an ideal piece for city dwellings. I originally purchased it for my Manhattan studio apartment.
