Seller's Notes:Beautiful Iron & Oak Kubrick sofa in rich purple velvet, featuring a distinctive take on the classic English roll-arm design. Currently retails new for over $4,300! Hand made in North Carolina. It is beautifully made with a hardwood maple and poplar frame (unlike many mass-produced sofas with plywood frames that contain formaldehyde and glues that off-gas chemical!) . The Como velvet features a smooth hand feel and and extremely durable 150,000 double rub rating. This 100% cotton velvet has a luxurious appearance and soft touch with a fantastic luster and sheen that is usually unheard of for such a durable velvet. We have downsized our house and unfortunately the sofa doesn't work in a smaller/darker space. Context photo shows sofa in our previous home a couple of months ago and is representative of the color. Close up photos show sofa in new house (in dark room). Elegant details include a gently curved, double-hump tight back, gracefully sloping arms, a sculpted lower frame and turned front legs in an ebony finish. Generously proportioned and wonderfully comfortable, with a sophisticated silhouette that would look fabulous in a living room, library or sitting room. Turned ebony-finish front legs Approximately 7 years old Condition: Overall good condition. A couple of scuff marks on the velvet (I think these will professionally clean out) and small scrapes on legs to be expected of this age of sofa. A lovely statement sofa with plenty of life left.

The Kubrick has unmistakable characteristics, including the setback, dropping arm & the unique swail swoop of the bottom side rail. Its tight back cushion merges formality of clean line with comfort & brings a confident swagger to your home. The classic pillow-back English Roll-Arm sofa, loveseat, chair, or sectional graces homes & estates around the world. Our take on the style delivers a smooth, esteemed feel that’s approachable and relaxed enough in appearance to fit in any room.
