For best results, vacuum from different directions, making several passes over the area. Spot clean. Remove soil with soft brush. Remove spills immediately; if liquid, blot with clean un-dyed cloth by pressing firmly around the spill to absorb as much as possible. For hard-to-remove stains, professional cleaning is recommended. Avoid direct and continuous exposure to sunlight. Use rug protectors under the legs of heavy furniture to avoid flattening piles. Natural fibers can become dry and brittle over time with use and may crack or break off, resulting in shedding. Shedding of loose fibers is also normal with new rugs and a natural result of being handmade. Shedding should diminish with regular vacuuming and proper core. Due to the natural fibers and craftsmanship, minor imperfections may appear in the weave. These are not defects but common occurrences in items of this nature.
