Neoclassical Revival Two-Tier Occasional Table

Product details

Seller's Notes:An elegant neoclassical revival-style occasional table featuring two circular antiqued-looking mirrored surfaces, a dark charcoal-gray metal framework, and contrasting gold-toned botanical ornament. Its design combines traditional decorative motifs with the cleaner structural language of contemporary metal furniture. The circular upper surface measures 30 inches in diameter and is enclosed within a substantial metal rim ornamented with a continuous geometric pattern. The mirrored glass displays a mottled, atmospheric appearance, creating a softened reflective surface that contrasts with the precision of the surrounding framework. Three slender, outward-curving supports establish the principal structure. At their upper junctions, spherical gold-toned ornaments are accompanied by pendant leaf-form decorations, while the legs terminate in similarly stylized botanical feet. A smaller circular mirrored shelf is suspended within the framework approximately 15 inches above the floor. The shelf is enclosed by a corresponding dark metal border, visually connecting the two levels while preserving the table’s open architectural character. Angular metal stretchers extend beneath the lower shelf, converging around a central gold-toned sphere. This restrained geometric arrangement provides a counterpoint to the curved legs and expressive foliate detailing. The table’s decorative vocabulary references neoclassical furniture through its botanical motifs, symmetrical arrangement, and contrasting metallic finishes. Its reflective surfaces and sculptural accents also evoke Hollywood Regency interiors, although the streamlined framework gives the overall design a more modern sensibility. With its substantial circular proportions and unusually engaging combination of materials, the table is well suited to use as a center table, occasional table, or decorative focal point in a traditional, transitional, or contemporary interior.
