Seller's Notes:Purchased and delivered in December of 2021 from Ligne Roset Chicago, the 3 seater is an incredible sofa. It’s platform foundation can be used as a bed or a place to hold a conversation. The backs of the sofa are fully movable, and removable. It can be a day bed in the afternoon, a 3 seater with company, and two seater in the evening. The couch is considered a part of design history and makes people stop whenever they see it. The color of the couch can best be described as a light navy base with sheen, with dark navy backs, and the bolsters are a brighter navy. The base is in the MAPLE ARDOISE 762 fabric, the backs are in the Alcantara Meteorite Y752, and the bolsters and armrests are Harald-3 Anthracite 182. Now as far as how they feel. The base of the couch feels like a soft smooth fabric, the bolsters and arm rest are velvet texture, and the backs are almost like a micro velvet. Many pieces at Ligne Roset use this fabric and it not only feels great, but also looks great. The legs of the sofa are black. The sofa itself is reversible, it is identical on the front and back, allowing it to be placed in the center of the room. We also rotate the sofa once a year to ensure even wear of it. When we purchased the sofa, we asked Ligne who they used to seal and fabric protects their show room, and we hired them to seal and clean the couch. The couch has been protected by Fibre protect in Chicago, and is cleaned by them once a year. It was just re-sealed in 2024, giving it another 3 years before it needs a new round of protection. To our knowledge the couch is in near perfect condition. No tears, no visible scratches. Smoke free, pet free, and kid free home. We only allow clear liquids in when sitting on the couch. There is a minor liquid mark on one side of the couch, 1 inch by half an inch. This mark will come out if the couch is cleaned due to the Fibre protect and the fact that the fabric is very cleanable. You do need to use a professional as the base must be wet vacced when cleaned, if you are in Chicago area we are happy to refer you to the person who cleans our furniture.

Typically the design process surrounding a new sofa is heavily focused on aesthetic research. Prado represents a departure from this school of thought completely. Prado has first and foremost been designed based on the study of lifestyles and human nature. We find the same inspirations in Prado that brought us Smala in the earlier part of this century. Prado consists of a vast bench seat (available in two sizes: 100*200 cm; 39 3/8'' x 78 3/4'' and 120*240 cm; 47 1/4'' x 94 1/2'') that can be combined and adjusted as desired and onto which back cushions may be placed at will, so that one can sit or lie down as they wish. It offers complete freedom as these cushions, weighted and equipped with a non-slip system, do not need to be rested against or attached to any object for support. They could, therefore, be arranged on the floor for a few leisurely moments around a low table, while the seat (cushion) could double as an occasional bed simply with a flip of its seat cushion to expose a side covered with mattress ticking. Collection includes and optional fitted sheet when using this option.
