Seller's Notes:Elegant mid-century sofa made by a company making high quality replicas of Le Corbusier's most famous design. High quality calf leather, flawless chrome support and very true to the original. This has been our primary sofa for 4 years but shows no signs of wear at all, no blemishes, no scratches nor defects of any kind. Good for another 20 at least.

Le Corbusier designed the original Petite Lounge Chair (LC2) collection based on the human scale. A strong advocate of Modernism, Le Corbusier created a range of Petite Lounge Chairs (LC2) that express his ideas with great sophistication. Mrs. Heidi Weber of Zurich first put the Le Corbusier Petite Lounge collection into production in 1959. With his the approval, she changed the appearance of this chair and added this three seat sofa. She removed the spring mechanism and used fabricating methods which allowed the frame to be chromed. She also gave the cushions a more formal, tailored look. Her contribution to the re-design of the collection was instrumental in the commercial success of the collection.
