Seller's Notes:Pair of vintage authentic Kroll Barcelona Chairs by Mies Van Der Rohe in good condition considering from 1974.
Created by Ludwig Mies van der Rohe for his 1929 German Pavilion at the International Exhibition in Barcelona, the Barcelona Collection’s pure composition came to epitomize modern architecture. From the elegant crisscross frame to the individual upholstery squares expertly welted together by hand, each Barcelona Stool is a tribute to the marriage of modern design, exceptional craftsmanship, and meticulous attention to detail.
Available in leather, suede, or fabric, with a polished chrome or ultra-matte onyx frame.
To create the cushion, 16 individual squares of leather, suede, or fabric are hand-welted and hand-tufted with buttons.
Stool in leather: the squares all come from a single cowhide.
Cushion is secured to frame by belting leather straps with edges dyed to match.
An Original Ludwig Mies van der Rohe Design: The frame is stamped with the Knoll logo and designer’s signature ensuring lifetime authentication.
