Seller's Notes:This pair of Mies van der Rohe Barcelona chairs were purchased new by my late father from Knoll NYC in the early 1960s, likely around 1964. They started out in a West Side brownstone and moved to southern CT in the mid 1970s, where they remained until my mother passed in 2009. At that time, the chairs came to me and now live in Queens, NY.

Designed by Ludwig Mies van der Rohe in 1929, this timeless, classic piece has become an icon of modern furniture. Its sophisticated, sleek look is crafted with a chrome or stainless steel frame which is upholstered in individual leather squares that are carefully welted together. Every detail, every inch is meticulously crafted when it comes to the Barcelona Chair.

Wear and tear details: scratches, Leather seat cushion on one chair has wear that is close to cracks, and the underside of the cushion has worn spots, The leather tabs that connect the back cushion to the frame need repair
