Seller's Notes:We commissioned this custom credenza from Pete Deeble Furniture about five years ago to house our stereo system. It is constructed entirely of wood--mahogany veneer with solid mahogany edges--and has an oil-rubbed finish. It has the beautiful grain, warmth, and durability that come with well-made all-wood furniture. The credenza includes a set of spindle legs that will be provided to the buyer. We chose not to use them, but they can be easily installed if desired. The height with the legs on is 29.75". The left section has a pull-out, soft-close turntable shelf and a small hole in the back for cords. The right section has a customizable-height shelf. The center section has two customizable-height shelves and is open to the back for ventilation. It has a sliding front panel made of cloth, so that the stereo can be operated by remote when closed. The piece is in very good condition. The only significant flaw is on the top surface, where the finish has faded somewhat from sun exposure. The areas beneath our two speakers did not fade, so there is some color variation on the top. Without speakers on those spots, we'd imagine the color would even out over time. There is also a small scratch underneath where the turntable sits (so it's not visible) and a tiny, faint spot on the white cloth panel. We have tried to show these imperfections clearly in the photos. We have enjoyed this piece tremendously and would be keeping it, but unfortunately, there isn't space for it in our new home.
