Seller's Notes:Chinese scholar's altar table from the mid-20th century, with carved apron and side stretchers. Manufactured in China, this scholar's altar table features a rectangular top with central board, sitting above an apron carved on two sides. Raised on four straight cylindrical legs connected to one another through side stretchers, this Chinese scholar's table will make for a great console in any living room or hallway. A visible crack in the wood in one corner (refer to photo), this comes with age and type of wood used. Has NOT been exposed to smoke, kids or pets. Used as a hallway console table for a lamp. Purchased at the China Collection, which before it closed, was one of Singapore's foremost curators of genuine Chinese antique furniture and décor pieces.
