Seller's Notes:These works-of-art authenticated modified Thonet chairs have been in our family since the early 1900’s, where they were used at our family restaurant in Baltimore, MD. The chairs were modified by M. L. Himmel & Sons, and had bentwood decor added to the seat backs. PLEASE NOTE: a couple of the chairs need to have the seats re-caned, and a couple of them need the legs to be stabilized for better support. One chair’s back at the “x” needs to be stabilized. There are four in total. The bentwood craftsmanship is unparalleled. We believe that most likely these are made from Beech, but we are unsure. The chairs are 18 inches high (at seat), 33.5 inches high (back), and 16.5 inches wide. These are incredibly lovely chairs that’ll complement many styles of decor. If these were repaired and in excellent condition, they’d easily sell for over $3,000. I’m open to fair offers - just message me! Also, if you live in the NYC metro area, you can pick them up. They fit into 2 wardrobe boxes - 2 chairs in each box.
