Seller's Notes:This vintage orange and white Abstract Expressionist painting has a provenance dear to many. The 1960s/1970s era painting resurfaced at the Antique Tobacco Barn in Asheville, North Carolina where it was purchased in 2013. Fast forward to 2024, the beloved Antique Tobacco Barn was destroyed by flood during Hurricane Helene. The Antique Tobacco Barn on Swannonoa Road was an Asheville landmark. The massive barn was filled to the brim with antiques of all varieties and was a favorite amongst tourists and avid collectors. This painting was acquired by team Furnish Me Vintage for their own personal collection. It seems right to release it so that the legacy of the Tobacco Barn can continue to bring joy. This lovely painting is narrow and can be hung vertically or horizontally. It is signed by the artist in the lower right corner, suggesting they intended to hang it horizontally. Broad, energetic strokes command the canvas. Look closely to see the richness of the impasto and layered paint. The slim shape and versatility make it ideal for tricky spaces. Place it between windows, hung on a small wall in the hallway, or even on the back of a door. The Mid-Century painting is painted on stretched canvas and housed in its original wood frame. There is wire on the back for both vertical and horizontal hanging. 36.75” Wide x 19” High x 1.375” Deep Condition: No damage to art. Wood frame has some scuffs and areas of paint loss.
