Seller's Notes:This belonged parents, where it graced a prewar 3 bedroom apartment in NYC with a grand living room. They purchased it from a dealer in 1962 for $975.00. They are gone now, and this lovely wool/silk royal kashan, even with its wear and tear, needs a new home. Deep red and navy hues with an overall floral motif, an incredible soft feel, and remarkably preserved pile and color are features of this rug. There are noticeable tears along the edges, the largest is photographed. ( can tuck that one under the sofa) The remainder of the edges are serviceable. It has been lovingly maintained, professionally cleaned throughout the years. Alas, commission is 60% of the selling price, otherwise I'd list it for less.
