BRAMAH Mahogany Secretaire Hutch Details: Antique secretaire bookcase, dating back to approximately the mid 1800s, attributed to Joseph Bramah (makers mark is present). J. Bramah is a well-known cabinet maker from the late 19th and early 19th centuries. This piece exhibits characteristic features of Regency-era furniture, including figured mahogany, decorative elements, and a combination of drawers with felted surfaces, a drop-down writing surface (secretaire), and adjustable height bookshelves with oval glazed doors. Hidden burl wood mini drawers inside the desk. Key closures to the top and desk. Separates into two pieces for moving purposes. Material: Mahogany wood, brass, glass Condition: Good antique condition. One glass pane is broken. Some loose wood pieces. Moderate wear on the wood surfaces. Felt has experienced some moisture-related discoloration.
