Seller's Notes:A genuine antique oak chest of demonstrable age — 19th century or earlier — built from solid old-growth oak boards with the grain character and heft that modern material cannot replicate. Dark early iron hardware, hinged lid, block feet. 24"L × 15" D × 18.25"H — compact and well-proportioned. Condition is honest to its years: heavy finish wear, losses to base trim, warped wood, and a break with loss to the back lid corner. The iron hardware is intact, and the oak construction is present throughout. Sold as-is for the serious collector or experienced restorer who understands that wear of this age is evidence of material history, not a detractor. Selected for the authenticity of its construction and the rarity of finding early antique material, this is honest.
