Seller's Notes:A substantial antique French oak monastery / refectory table. circa 1900 Early 20th century, likely near the Alps region of Southern France close to the Italian / Swiss border, having an impressive 2.5 inch thick plank tabletop, rising on a carved and pierced trestle base, cross stretcher with wedged mortise and tenon joinery, resting on sturdy molded shoe feet. Dimensions: (approx) 29.25" High, 79" Long, 31" Wide; Condition: Wear consistent with age and use. Very well made, strong, sturdy, stable. Great original antique condition with nicely aged warm rustic patina. Retaining original antique character, charm & age appropriate wear throughout.
