Seller's Notes: This unique piece (either mahogany or walnut…..can’t say for sure) was crafted in the first part of the last century either in Philadelphia or New York where my great grandmother found it. The veneer top is called “cathedral grain” because of the look of arches shaped by the cuts made where the tree branch met the tree trunk. Then it’s “book-matched” meaning each piece is a mirror image of the piece next to it. It’s a beautiful piece and rare with four scroll-carved feet attached to the pedestal base. It’s been in my family since the 1920s handed down to each generation until it got to me and I no longer have room for it. I’d love for it to go to someone who will cherish it. It’s got all the dings, dents and scratches (some tiny, some bigger, all pictured) you’d imagine from years of use as a Bridge table, dining table and kids’ table at Thanksgiving but nothing that shows very much or affects its use. The table top is 34” round and stands 29” off the floor. I have a glass top cut to size that goes with it.
