I read your auction, and I thought I would let you know, that if you use LED light bulbs, there is no heat put out and that would protect your shade. Antique Art Deco Jadeite Cast Iron Floor Lamp with Shade- shade is not new, not original. 1920 - 1930's floor lamp.,mild restoration. Electrician re -wired and welded the glass lamp shade together with bridge arm for 1 complete unit because missing pieces .New features pull chain , and new lamp cord purchased from restoration lighting company to maintain the appearance - time period. Height 60 inches, Base 9x 7.5inches approx. and rest flat not wobbly. The remaining lamp shade features - cast iron metal, original jadeite intact ( no broken pieces) and lamp shade. Cons - the lampshade does get hot from light bulb very quickly . I turn it on for 60 minutes then turn it off. Maybe a lower wattage light bulb would help. You do not want to Lead glass to crack from LIGHT Bulb HEAT Minor discoloration to metal age related. I took 30+ pictures of lamp can send to you. Pro's- Great Entry Way lamp or Boudoir or Living room 20-30's style , or Mission . The lamp is a show piece - plenty of compliments . Very Good Condition -Good Buy!
