Seller's Notes:1980s Alanda Coffee Table Attributed to Paolo Piva for B&b Italia – Black Steel & Glass This vintage Alanda coffee table was designed by Paolo Piva for B&B Italia and produced in Italy in the 1980s. The sculptural base is composed of black lacquered steel forming four inverted pyramids arranged in a precise geometric grid, supporting a thick square glass top with softly curved corners that echo the frame’s design. One of Piva’s most recognizable and celebrated designs, the Alanda table is often referred to as the “pyramid table.” The architectural steel base creates a striking visual contrast with the transparency of the glass, giving the piece both presence and lightness. Purchased in the 1980s from the original Maurice Villency showroom in the historic village of Roslyn, New York. Renowned for introducing high-end European modern design to the United States, Villency makes this table an exceptional example of a period-acquired piece. Please note the item is not marked, just like all other vintage Alanda coffee tables In great condition. Some minor chips on the glass, see photos
