Seller's Notes:This is a 8' X 10' wool and silk oriental rug hand woven in India. Actual measurements are 7' 10.5" (94.5") X 10' 1" (121") Originally purchased from Kaoud Oriental Rugs in 2010. Original sales tag pictured included in the sale. The design is "Majestic", colors are Brown and Gold, Material is Silk and Wool, Handmade in India As with all handmade rugs, the rug has a "grain". This means that the colors appear lighter or darker depending on which end of the rug is viewed. Photos of both ends are included. Color appear as dark brown with a rich gold from one side, medium brown with a light beige/brilliant gold from the other side. You would orient the rug in your space depending on which coloration you want to be seen from the most commonly approached end. The silk in the rug gives it a beautiful sheen and luster. Silk, especially when combined with wool, creates a very durable and impressive piece that lasts a lifetime and more! The folds seem in the rug are from it being stored during a move. The rug will relax and lay flat after a short period of time. This rug was in a formal dining room which was rarely used in a pet-free, smoke-free, shoe-free home.
