His paintings depicted African Tribal Imagery in the Cubist Style. It is framed in a simple wood frame where some of the corners don t line up. The art is signed on the front of the painting and on the back. See picture for ~1 1/2 section where the paint chipped off (appears as white spot). George Ebrin Adingra was born in 1933 in Adaou (Ivory Coast). He originally studied philosphy but later in the 1950’s switched to do what he loved to do most- draw and paint.He soon settles in Paris where he applies European Cubism to African themes. He mixes his oil with sand, which results in added dept and texture which becomes his signiture in his work. Adingra has exhibited in New York, Paris, Berlin, Amsterdam and other places. Adingra died in Angiers (France) in 2005.
