1965 Lane First Edition Walnut MCM Dresser

Product details

Seller's Notes:This dresser (and matching nightstand, see separate listing - but I included a photo of it here too for reference!) has been in the family since it was manufactured in the 60s! The production date appears to be September 21st, 1965 (serial number found printed in the back of the dresser). It was part of the wedding bedroom furniture set of our aunt Janice and might have been purchased in either Long Beach, California where she lived or Palm Springs which she visited often! It’s a special piece of history and we want it to go to a good home/collector :) the piece is in good condition minus one scuff and the inside of a few drawers that eventually will need some wood glue to reseal (see photos).

An elegant Mid Century Modern Lane First Edition 9-Drawer Dresser in Walnut, c. 1960s. This is a beautiful example of Mid-Century craftsmanship by Lane Furniture. Features nine louvered drawers. An extremely well made and solid piece in great condition with simple elegant lines and beautifully louvered drawers curving at an angle over the face of each drawer, the whole rest on recessed tapered feet. The First Ediction Line is known for its cascading angular design. The wood is naturally highlighted in a walnut pattern throughout, with a rich glossy brown tone. Attractive classic modernist quality and design piece for the modern interior.
