Seller's Notes:This lamp has had a long journey. Originally purchased by an antique collector in the 70's. After the collector passed away, a relative drove it from Florida to New York. Believed to be made by Rougier, although there is no visible maker's mark. This sculptural piece is working condition and comes with the original matching leaf-topped lampshade and sits upon a brass plate. The lampshade has a few small cracks as seen in the photos but only visible from the inside. The lamp shade fits slightly ajar ontop of the glass sconce so it is possible the glass sconce was replaced at some point. Lamp shade still fits nicely. Almost no visible scratches or marks on the piece itself. Because of the (estimated) 70 year old wiring, the switch occasionally needs a slight wiggle to turn on, but guaranteed turns on every time. This timeless piece deserves to live out the rest of its years in a loving home who appreciates its antiquity and novelty.
